Konflikter – konflikthåndtering og konfliktløsning på arbejdspladsen.
Jeg møder mange ledere i mit coachingarbejde, der tumler med konflikter. Konflikter, der udspiller sig på arbejdspladsen, til daglig.
- Jeg hører ledere, der i deres vagtplanlægning bruger tid og kræfter på at tage højde for, at nogle medarbejdere ikke kan arbejde sammen, og at dette derfor må undgås.
- Jeg hører ledere, der taler om, at det er svært at give ros og ris, og at det tit mange gange er lettere at lade være.
- Jeg hører ledere, der taler om, at der er dårlig team spirit, og at det efterhånden snart er svært at finde ud af, hvad der er det rigtigste og det mindst forkerte at gøre.
- Jeg hører ledere, der har på fornemmelsen, at personalet taler om vedkommende, og at det kan være svært at gå ind i frokoststuen/rygerummet eller lignende.
- Jeg hører ledere, der taler om, at det da ikke kan være rigtigt, at man skal behandle folk med fløjlshandsker, og at det er belastende i længden at skulle tale så pænt til folk, når de bare sygemelder sig, og kommer med dårlige undskyldninger ved forsinkelse.
- Jeg hører mange gode folk, som er ledere, der på den ene eller anden måde befinder sig i forskellige konflikter. Og synes, at det er svært at håndtere disse.
I den næste tid vil du på Uni Coaching og her på webbloggen kunne læse om konflikthåndtering. Temaet “at være konfliktsky” og “hvordan man tager hånd om konflikter” vil være i centrum.
Hvorfor?
Fordi det mange gange er væsentligt at kende til de psykologiske mekanismer, som er i spil, når man defineres som leder. Mange har brug for en leder, og der sendes adskillige projektioner af sted. Nærmest som i en familie, hvor forældrene skal være synlige og venlige for at børnene har tillid og respekt for disse. Lidt enkelt beskrevet gælder det også på en virksomhed, i et team. Er lederen konfliktsky, eller for heftig i sine “skideballer”, vil det blive noteret. Og den Team Spirit, man som leder så kan forvente, vil handle om manglende motivation, dårlig modstandsdygtighed, flere sygedage, samt brok og sladder på arbejdspladsen.
Lederen er kulturbærer, og derfor er det væsentligt hyppigt at være tro mod egne signaler og stemninger, samt at forstå den feedback, der kommer, passivt som aktivt fra medarbejdere. For det ene skal ikke udelukke det andet. Men netop: Sidder du som leder og opfatter dig selv som værende konfliktsky, og oplever du, at det er svært at give ris og ros, så kan du være sikker på ,at dette tema har en effekt i din personalegruppe.
Coaching vil i en sådan situation være optimalt. Tænk over det. Tør du lade være med at gøre noget ved det?
